What do i do at the three pedestals found after killing all of the goblins in the depleted ore mine (the mine with the blue goblin beholder)??? there are three pedestals just begging me to do something with them and this is my second playthrough and i still haven't figured it out.

did you go to the very bottom on the elevator? you'll find three books one red, one blue and one dark, can't remember exctly how they are arranged on the pedastels,you might want to consider a save before you use them just in case you get them wrong. i don't think you get a second chnce.

There is ONE more level lower on the elevator!!!! you go down there ...before grabbing the books down there make a save in order to save/reload to get malachite gems.
books to pedestal are : Red 5, Blue 3, Dark 1
