Someone plz tell me if there's gonna be any Divine Divinity Online, like UO, WoW, Dark Ages of Camelot etc. The combined interface and build of Diablo and Ultima has made DivDivinity one of my favorites....A little buggy, 4 sure, but favorite though.
What about the scorpion trap bug? (not actually a bug but lame enough ...). I would prefer less damage (or general efficiency) on that kind of traps and boost Assassin's Kiss. And finally...what's the best level you can be the Divine One?
Thanx for noticing

Haha, that would be cool, but highly unlikely. The time, effort and cost would be immense. The next project may likely have some form of multiplayer though.
Will there be another patch to the balance gameplay? Probably not. I'm guessing the team has moved on and is focused on their next project.
With the experience they had developing DD, and reading the suggestions posted on the forum (Larian developers read the suggestions, right?!), their next game should be even better.

This is off DD topic, but not off MMORPG topic. Check it out, this game will be very much awaited, huh, as all Blizzard's games are. http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/worldofwarcraft/index.html As for DD, I don't think Larian will do that, this is veery different from what are they doing now.

Ariana rang the gong on level 12, so was level 17 at the start of the wastelands. The usual range is probably around 35-45.

Did she tell how many times she reloaded?

Not specifically, but she did describe a couple fights where she had to save after successful hits and repeatedly re-load on being killed. I think a lot of the tough fights that could not be avoided needed at least one or two re-loads to try different strategies. After level 5 things got a bit easier learning the Deadly Gift skill, but she still quit after getting to the wastelands (they are boring enough without repeatedly re-loading for the Black Ring members again).

Man, I most certainly hope they DON'T make an MMORPG out of this series. Have you looked at the RPGs on the shelves lately? When I visit RPGPlanet.com and look at the release dates of upcomming RPGs, like 80% of them are MMORPGs
There are to friggin many MMORPGs as is. RPGs like DD are all but extinct. There need to be more single player oriented games like it! I'm literally feel like I'm getting to old for all this online stuff! I like to take my time and enjoy a game at my own pace by myself, or with a few friends.
By the way, anybody taking a look at Gothic II for PC and Fable for Xbox?

I definitely agree. I weep for the death of the SP CRPG genre, and I pee on the proliferation of massively buggy, laggy, crackheady online RPGs made by greedy, lamer and uncaring companies. Please, don't make a rare gem like into a horrible MMORPG. If you're going to do multiplayer, do it through LAN TCP/IP or IPX/SPX. Even GameSpy is a better alternative.

I dilike Online-Only Games too, (I refuse to call those things roleplaying) but not because of all the bugs, lag, and all that technical stuff. (It doesn't help though...) What I hate are all the neanderthals those games seem to attract like flies to honey. Some more of my thoughts on muliplayer

That might be true, but the "true roleplayers" in certain persistent worlds are just as anal. They insist on sitting around in taverns and never setting their foot outside to adventure. It's obnoxious to the extreme.

What's really sad is that its becoming apparant that companies are making MMORPGs to become cash cows for further projects. There's a good article on Diabloii.net about the cost of playing these games and how game makers are chomping at the bit to get into the lucrative field of MMORPGs.
I really hate those damn things...nothing but a money and time sink. I've attempted to play EQ about 3 times, and everytime I come away a few months later wondering how in the world people can stand that game!!! You can't even pee in that game without 20 people helping you. The most basic of tasks, like getting your spells as a spell caster by way of research, are a pain in the [nocando]! From what I've heard from friends and read myself ALL MMORPGs tend to be that way
Nooooooooooo thank you! Keep a single player/network-TCP/IP multiplayer game only!!!!!

As a story-depth-devotee, I concur Virtual representations of realtime people simply don't make interesting characters and don't often produce well written dialogues... Not to mention the stories they have to tell
Rose did make a good point tho about the "true roleplayers" (wow, that's the second time today I say that, Rose - is it one of those days, or are you someone who actually does that every now and then? ) - Why do they all have to be or millionairs (who never work) or wretches (who have to work 24 hours)? And all suffer from insomnia? etc.
I liked it in the Gothic demo (and I suppose it's the same way in the full game ) how the characters went asleep at night like normal people (normal, as in: not those guys who play MMORPG's )

LOL no, I'm not one of those "true" roleplayers, even though I do play some Pen and Paper D&D campaigns (where I actually go outside the tavern, and like, do stuff). I've never actually played a MMORPG, but I've been on enough Persistent World servers to know how they work. I've also heard complaints from various people about MMORPG's being basically a treadmill where you exp, get better items, and never pay attention to any of the quests -- if there are even any quests (which would be exploited / treadmilled to the extreme anyway). And don't even get me started on the especially awful tradeskill system that makes you have to click on rocks all day... when I first saw that I was too stunned to press alt+F4.
Truly, too many "CRPGs" now are nothing more than hack and slash. They in fact require less skill and thought than some action games, because you just have to click in the general direction of the monster and don't even have to aim for the head or a specific spot (Morrowind is an exception to this). If I really wanted to play a glorified 3D action game, I'd play a 3D action game already. I think Larian is taking the CRPG genre in the right direction by focusing on the single player aspect, because that is where deep roleplay immersion takes place. I haven't seen such great dialogue since Baldur's Gate II. And that was what, 3 years ago?

yep ... gotta say your right on that one! single playe= no distractions=better! Yep, not distractions like some pasty-faced pre-pubescant 12-year old coming into your game with hacked items, killing everyone and writing something along the lines of, "haha, I ownz you noooooob, noooob!" Man, I hate D2.

@Rose - Ahhhh, that's what you meant by "true roleplayers'! I thought you were talking about npc's (I mean, how more "true roleplayer" can you get than an npc ) - Yikes, I never knew about "your" true roleplayers (who prefer sitting in a tavern doing blah blah etc )... I can call it an educational day today afterall

I wanted to tell them that they can't sit around taverns and tell tales about their grand adventures when they're 1st level, as that would be bold-faced lying, but as I thought more about it I realized they would have told me I was being too OOC (out of character) and decided to just sort of leave before they kick-banned me forever.
