Larian Studios Forums Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis (English) Technical problems XBOX360(US) Glitch - Battle Tower Fight w/ Demon

As stated in the title, I'm having an issue in the Battle Tower when fighting Laiken's soul-forged Demon. After I defeat Undead Sassan, and Laiken's Demon is summoned, I take off enough HP to prompt the dialogue, and no matter which choice I make the game stops working. I see the Demon run out the back door, and the view reverts back to 3rd person behind my character, but the GUI does not return and none of the buttons do anything; animation still continues, as do effect timers (like potion of intelligence), but I cannot move, save, load... nothing. I have to quit to the dashboard and restart the game, but even this is futile as I've repeated this battle 6 times already and it simply will not work.

I believe I have found the issue, after spending a lot of time messing around with the game. The fault appears to be at the point after defeating Undead Sassan where Sassan asks if you want her to summon the Demon. Every time that I used Mindread on her at that point, without fail, the game would stop functioning after Razakel runs away. If I do not use Mindread on her at that point, the game resumes as it should.

Onward I go...

That is strange... I didn't have that problem, also with the (unpatched at the time) US Xbox version, and don't recall it being mentioned (though I may have missed it by avoiding topics with obvious spoilers before I had reached the battle tower).

Anyway, glad you found a way around the problem.
