how do I open the third gate in Lovis tower? That's the first gate behind the slope which goes towards the Skeleton on top/Lovis` Loot. There's about 8 skeletons or so behind that gate. I cannot find the lever.

I'm stuck...

Okay...
You say, okay, found it and walkaround as well...
I got to Carlin, got the orb and all that but...
The way you phrase your semi-answer makes me think there is a way to open the third gate.
Since you say you found it...it would have been nice of you to say how.
If you had the problem, others probably do to.
How do I open the third gate?
I did the the ladders and all so I'm good on that, but that 3rd gate is really bothering me.
Peace

Just past the statues that you needed to hit the pressure plates for to open the gate, if you keep to the left the (wider) path spirals upwards to the room with Carlin. However, the path branches and you can keep right to go down, then take a ladder down to a small platform where you can jump down to the section containing the door to Lovis' chamber.

So should I have gone to pay a visit to Lovis' chamber before I went to visit Carlin? Only I appear to be stuck with George (Carlin) in a room of buttons that no longer do anything. Stupidly saved the game after entering so I'm going to have to start from, almost, scratch if I am now stuck.

*wonders*

Don't mind me, the margin is too narrow, got myself out of the predicament.

It doesn't matter which order you go in; I went up to Carlin, as well, before going to Lovis, with a slight detour along the way (as you may have found already).

You only use one save? Even if you never get into trouble with opponents that are too tough and you can not retreat, don't you ever want to try quests different ways, or see how NPCs react to different dialog choices, etc?
