Hrmm, I'm a bit puzzled. I started a mage even though in most RPGs I am a warrior, but I can't help but feel they really suck and take much more patience and potions to play.

WIth a warrior I could just storm a room and chop everyone down. With a mage I have to rely on my mana, which is really limited. I miss half my melee hits and my mana is not enough even though I started putting more points into intellect. By the way I'm only level 6.

Also, so far every weapon I have found is for warriors (req very high str and agi). Is it a coincidence or are there no mage specific weapons?

And one more thing. In the manual I see that a mage's special skill is "swap location". Yet I don't have this skill. What's up with that?

Errr. I also lost my pyramid :O What should I do?? How can I find it now

The catacombs have a lot of high level axes, that no starting character can meet the requirements for. Stash them in a chest for later, either to use or sell when you get to merchants with more gold.

In the far right column when you open the skill list, there is an icon for the special skill under those for the teleporter stones.


If you remember where you were the last time you used the pyramid, you can walk back through the area holding the alt key down, or waving the mouse cursor back and forth. It may be faster to make your way back to your home base and use the teleporter stone there to get back to the other one, then drag and drop it to your inventory and continue on.

Well the thing is, I seem to have already used the teleporter stone and I forgot where I used it. And now I can't get either piece because I don't remember where the first piece is, and I can't get to the second piece (it's still in the catacombs), because the door is locked to the room with that piece

If you used the first teleporter stone you would have been brought to the second, so I assume you just dropped it somewhere.

On the fourth level of the catacombs, you can unlock the door to the room with the second teleporter stone using a lever IIRC on the wall to the west of the door. When you recover that you can use it to find the first.
