ok so i am planing on buying the game monday i have tried the demo and it was lot nicer looking than the dark eye .. my questions though is are there any major bugs that will make me uninstall my modem like on the dark eye game or something along that line


also what would be a better class to play as frist to get the hang of the game when i did the demo i had went as a archer with a summon spirt

I don't recall any modem conflicts. A couple people have had problems with the codecs used in some of the cutscene videos, but if you didn't have an issue with the demo you probably will not with the full game.

Known Major issues - All versions

In the PC version of the game, on some systems quickloading a save made inside can result in the exits being sealed or ladders removed. Assuming you notice right away, exiting the game completely and restarting will fix the problem. Saving after that without restarting, however, will write the sealed exits into the save.
Make new saves periodically and it would be relatively painless to recover if you do run into this bug (a couple people have has it happen frequently, most not at all). Actually, periodic save are a good practice anyway, when entering new areas, etc.


I went through the starting area a few times as an archer, mage and warrior. I almost always play a warrior or paladin type character, so went with a dual wielding warrior that started combat early in the game with a bow.

Half way through the game you can unlearn all your skills and redistribute the points, so you don't have to worry too much about changing you playstyle or making bad choices. Your stat points can not be redistributed, but it doesn't hurt to get most of them up a little bit anyway, so you can still alter your build quite a bit early to mid game.
