Larian Studios Forums Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis (English) Help/Tips/Tricks question about saving williams (spoiler)

so in broken valley there is a place where the black ring have overrun the guard, and the guard is stuck, when i start the quest however level 26 scouts come and i do 1 damage to them.. i am currently level 20 and have not finished the battle tower yet, it seems 100% impossible for me to get near level 26 without moving past the battle tower, which makes broken valley inaccessable for the most part.. is this quest still available after damian attacks and makes the ground poisonous? if the answer is no, how am i supposed to kill these level 26's? ive killed everything i can in orbojas, dont every quest up till the battle tower (where i am at the part where u have to kill the demon) and im still not close to being level 26.

This quest is still available after getting the battle tower (as is the one on sentinel island to retrieve a book from a ship in a tree, though you may want to consider reading the book yourself rather than completing the quest).

I entered the quarry building at level 21 or 22 and with my creature as a distraction was able to take out the 2 downstairs (for ~2.5k experience each). After going upstairs I could not handle the 4 there, so had to reload. At level 23 I was able to rescue Williams and take out the 4 rangers that come upstairs (~9.7k experience total), but not the 3 warriors downstairs, so I had to high tail it out a side door. That was the last place I could clear before getting the battle tower; by the time I got back the 3 guys downstairs were trivial to defeat.

thanks for the quick reply, im playing on hard so its impossible for me to kill them as it does 1 damage im gonna wait till after i take over the battle tower and get to level 25 before going in there
