Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General Freeing Penumbra

I have a quest to free Penumbra. Is there any way to free her other than killing the guard? I tried talking to the guard and went through all of the options to try and get him to leave. But he won't go. I've even tried leaving the dungeon and comming back.

When I use the key to open the door, the guard attacks and I kill him. None of the other thieves seem to care. They are still green. Is it OK to kill the guard? Will it screw anything up later?

I'd rather not kill the guard, so if there is a way to get him to leave, please let me know.

I don't know....but i talked to the guard...He said that there is dangerous prisoner in it....I've tried all options of speech but he won't leave the prison....so i left him.after that,he's talking to himself and leave....now i can free penumbra <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/idea.gif" alt="" />

i used all the speech options and he wouldnt go away, but then when i went off to the right hand side of the screen it went back 2 him and he sed
"finally that guys left, now i can go 2 the toilet" [or sumthing like that]
then he left

Oeps, now you've busted a nice side quest. Depending on when you've 'killed' her.
