i tried all 4 buttons next to the glowing green orbs, checked the side rooms, and chatted with Carlin but i can't find a way out. and i saved AFTER i got into the room, not before. can anyone help please? i know there must be a 5th button somewhere...

Did you check all the side rooms? There is a button (and a chest) in the room that is on fire...

You are only using one save? Even if you never run into any bugs or get into any areas too difficult for your level, that can restrict your ability to try solving quests different ways, or try different dialog options, etc.

OMG thank you. i really appreciate it. i did not think of going into the room that was on fire...
