So I'm reading about how to kill Amdusias and I keep seeing "Sick your creature on him." I think I know what cave the necromancer is in, but when I go there he is gone. I didn't go there for a long time because the room he is in, in that cave had a locked door so I never thought anything of it, or at least until after I got that creature skull and saw that I could summon a creature. I could really use the help with killing this guy so getting a creature would be great. But I was wondering where is the necromancer now? Did I go back too late? Other posts I see are extremely vague and don't help that much. Any help would be appreciated.

As long as you did not kill Laiken, you can go back to the cave of the Necromancer in Brocen Valley!
You didn't find the Necromancer? A locked door? Maybe you must finda key somewhere in that cave! I didn't remeber a locked door, but it is for sure possible because you must go through 1 gate and 2 doors to come by the Necromancer, "Naberius" is his name. wink

The first gate on higher region nearby the Chapel Waypoint Scrine and a Goblin camp ...is so far I canremeber 'not locked'.
The two 'doors' you must pass after go in the cave via gate are closed, but or they locked too?
The first 'door' I think is locked, but a key you can find nearby this door .. and the second 'door' is not locked if I remeber right.

Beware of skeleton warriors behind the first door! But I think they do you nothing more if you are already in the Maxos Temple, I think you 're at laest a level 12 - 15 hero(in) !
Take the Crypt Waypoint Schrine inside the Maxos Temple to the Chapel Schrine and give it a try wink

If you can't find Naberius, I'm afraid you have a bug smirk
(but can't remember someone report ever a bug like this ... )

Success! smile

wait... there is 2 doors? I only remember the first one, in the goblin cave like right next to the chapel shrine I went in and I found a key on the goblin chair and then went further in and unlocked a door. But then it's a room fully of book and a desk and I think some chests, but I don't remember any 2nd door >.< Unless I'm going to the wrong cave I only saw 1 door.

I'm sorry but this game is really confusing so you have to be really specific... Or even a map? Heh.... just kidding

If I remember correctly there is a teleport thingy that asks you for a password right by the chapel waypoint but I don't know the password... do I need to go in there?

And wait who is Laiken?

The cave with the necromancer Naberius is in the top left (2.6) of this map. The cave itself looks like this.

Laiken is the necromancer who moved into the battle tower on sentinel island, who you need to defeat to become a full dragon knight. You get access to the island after you defeat Amdusias.

You need to find 4 parchments in Broken Vally, and have them translated by Zixzax the imp (who is outside Maxos temple), in order to get the password for the teleporter by the chapel waypoint (and another near Lovis' tower).

BTW, your first encounter on sentinel island you can mindread to go up a level, so the higher level you are (I made it to level 18 in the fjords) the more of an experience bonus that will be. You don't need to get to a high level, but it would be better if you got to a new level before entering, to get a full level bonus.

Did you mindread Erlking? If so, on the other side of the room you can read the book he thought about (in Erlking's bookcase). Entering that room, the bookcase is on the right at the far back. Once you do that
to open a secret room, you can go up a level to kill a monster for a key, and then return to open the chest and learn the name.

When you know the name, taking the elevator up two floors will take you to Sassan, and the door after that is the 'point of no return'. Make sure you finish all quests in Broken Valley (you can wait to enter the quarry tower to rescue the people there) and on sentinel island (except for the quest where you need to be able to fly) and finish everything there you wish to do.

BTW, at the top left of each forum index page (such as Help/Tips/Tricks), under the graphic and main forum text menu, there is a 'New Topic' button. If you didn't notice, the search feature defaults to posts in the past week; changing that to the past year (or whatever) should produce more results.

You learned to mindread at the very start of the game, in Farglow. You don't need any additional levels of that skill, or anything, just start a conversation and mindread (hit X in the Xbox version; not sure about on the PC).
Just to clarify, mindreading will let you find the book that will open the false wall to reveal a room with a couple chests. The key for the chest with the soul forge contract is carried by a creature up one level from there, so you have to take the elevator up, and then return to open the chest.
