Larian Studios Forums Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Cant talk with Cpt Rodney

As the topic says , i cant talk with npc Rodney in the 1st village, and couse of that i cant get rewards for the "A hunting we shall go" quest.
Its kinda weird couse i was able to talk to him at the begining and got reward for killing "Hjalmar", but after i was able to explore the Broken Valley fully, i killed all the others that are needed for the quest then went to Rodney for rewards and i cant talk to him.
He just sits on his chair and read that damn book and ignore me

And yes i got all the items required for quest from corpses of the killed targets, and he have a "?" mark above his head.

Dunno if this help but my game is 1.03 eng ver.

If someone can help that would be great, if not ... oh well i will lose few thousands xp not a big deal

Have you tried approaching Rodney from different directions, or just getting closer?

Did you re-read the sign post? Can you talk to Louis or the guard(s) at the other end of the room from Rodney?

I re-read the sign post few times.

And yes i can talk to Louis and other guards in the same room where Rodney is.

That's why it's quite weird, only this 1 npc is bugged.

At least i hope the items required for this quest will disapear after i cant enter Broken Valley anymore, couse i cant destroy them

The items didnt disapear ... good thing u get storage in battletower, i dont need to cary herbs/ores etc so the few space slots they take aint a big deal
