well i got the battle tower,though i have been able to upgrade runners weapons from the skill trainer ,i can't seem to find how to update their armor.

also how can i update my creature.the necromancer at the ring does'nt give any option?

You can upgrade their armor if you go to the enchanter

If you want to upgrade your creature, you must have different body pieces. If you have those pieces, go to the necromancer to work on your creature.

thanks but where is the enchanter?i thought the enchanter would be at the workshop but there is only some lady named ginny standing there and she does'nt offer any options for anything.it's like i have to use the machines to enchant things.also i have some body parts but the necromancer does'nt offer any options.

the enchanter should be in the same area as the lady.

there's no one else there as far as i can tell.i looked all over.i'll look again.

nope,no one else there;just the girl.it's generally a pretty small area.

is there some kind of trainer or something that can put the enchanter there.apparently only his wife ginny showed up.i am assuming it should be wesson.this is a bummer as my runners come back empty handed and hurt with no armor.

If u have a save before u choose enchanter at totem, then i would sugest u to play from it and choose the other enchanter.

Couse without enchanter:
- u wont be able to enchat stuff,
- no armor for runners means that most of the time they will come back without loot,
- without runners u wont be able to get lots of pots,

Its like your game is on some hardcore difficulty :P

You checked the whole platform? (not that there are a lot of places he could hide)
You can also just try leaving the battle tower to go to the fjords, then return.

On the necromancer platform, you should have a merchant that sells body parts, and whichever necromancer you chose.

You can use the enchantment machines to enchant/un-enchant stuff yourself.

no there's only one guy on the necromancer platform too.the one that sells the parts.i thought he was the one i chose.cause i can't upgrade creature either.i tried going back ands forth.even re installing the game.i don't have any saves far enough back before the tower.yes you can enchant or unenchant with the machines.

Try emailing support@larian.com. Maybe with the save they could reset those NPCs, or something.

ok so larian wants me to send them my save game.where are the saves?and is there a way to tell from the file which ones are my level 21 saves?thanks

The load window shows the data and time stamp of each save, along with the screenshot and level info, which you can compare to the save files (with Windows Explorer in details mode).


In XP the saves are in the folder

C:\Documents and Settings\ %username% \Local Settings\Application Data\Divinity 2\Savegames


or in Vista / Win 7

C:\Users\ %username% \AppData\Local\Divinity 2\Savegames


You may need to set Windows Explorer to show hidden files and folders.

not as impressed with the BT as i thought i would be. nice to be able to send the runners out for gems, ingredients etc. and also nice to get the skill points by mindreading each (necromancer, alchemist, trainer, and Sassan).

aside from upgrading creature when i find new body parts, making potions, healing runners, and upgrading the platforms with quest items, is there anything else i'm missing?

there is a dancer and musician in the throne room - they dont' seem to do much - i tried having him play different music and having her dance, but nothing happens. i also got the first key and unlocked the series of chests on each platform.

just curious if i'm missing anything else there...

The storage chest is one of the other main features of the battle tower. I also used the enchantment machine a fair bit.

The dancer should dance in a cutscene, and musician should play different music; not sure why they don't. The dance cutscene may be on Youtube, or something, though you are not really missing much (though that is the only time your character gets to sit on the throne).

Do u know how to enter the battle tower on sentinel island? I cant get any of the doors to open. I have been all over the tower and cant get in. thank u

well,for an update;i tried to show the hidden files to get to my saves to send to larian.but i must have hit the wrong button and it totally screwed up my game.i had to reinstall it a coaple times to get it to work.even after that autosave did not work anymore and i could'nt overwrite a save back more than one previous save.so i had one save back at level 8 and i figured that since i knew what to do i would go from there and work my way back to where i was.so was able to systematically move through the game since i knew what to do.here it is about 5 days later and i just got the battle tower back and now all the characters are where they are supposed to be.thank god.

you need to do all the sentinel island quests and eventually be able to get the barrier open to get into the battle tower.

Setting Windows Explorer to show hidden files and folders shouldn't have had any effect on the game...
Well, I'm glad it is working now, anyway, even if you did have to redo so much.

If you've resurrected Sassan and gotten the barrier lowered, just head up the path killing bandits as you go. If you get to a locked door near a teleporter shrine, head back down to where the path branches, and take the other direction. Once you kill the bandits in that area you should be able to open the door there (the bandits' barracks should be marked on your map).

yea i think i hit the wrong button.i went to users/my username and right clicked,then properties and checked the "hidden" box under read only(which i thought would reveal the hidden files),then i selected all files and folders.and so it did this thing for about 5 minutes and all of a sudden half of my desktop icons were gone and there was not even a username file anymore.so i had to figure out how to get it back.and when i did everything was screwed up.
