If I replay will new autosaves/quicksaves for a new character overwrite the quicksaves/autosaves of a previous character?

I want to take my first ranger through the expansion so I need to be sure her saves are safe before replaying.

Thanks

You just use autosave/quicksaves?

AFAIK they would get overwritten by a new character, unless you are playing under a different Windows user account. However, you can move or otherwise backup your current saves before starting another game.

In XP the saves are in the folder

C:\Documents and Settings\ %username% \Local Settings\Application Data\Divinity 2\Savegames

or in Vista / Win 7

C:\Users\ %username% \AppData\Local\Divinity 2\Savegames

You may need to set Windows Explorer to show hidden files and folders (XP, Vista, Win 7).

Thankyou!!!

I think it would be very good in future if each character got their own quicksave and autosave slots that are kept separate. Glad I asked.

I've been looking at the builds and it's unbelievable how different rangers can be from one another and the other classes too. I'm spoilt for choice on the replay. I'm torn between trying a mage, rebuilding a ranger or bashing stuff 4 different ways each. Decision, decisions.....

Decisions yes! delight >>> That's the reason I find that this game has a great replayability ! smile
Now I'm playing as a Ranger on a different way than I play earlier! But I always love it to using Spells, so my Ranger is a "Ranger Mage" or a "Ranger Battle Mage" ... "Battle" because I use a Two-handed Sword (or something I like) too !
biggrin

Why do some people only use one save slot? That's just asking for trouble. Use multiple save slots. Seriously.
