i sort of saw this addressed elsewhere but it didn't help me. i can't get the elevator to move. it has a lever on the outside to "call it" but no way to move it.

i read that it needs a lever to repair it, and i was already up in Kezz's room, took the key and book, but can't seem to go any further. supposedly the way to fix it is behind a locked door? any help would be appreciated. thanks!

The levers there do not call the elevator, they operate it (you need to stand inside the elevator to do so).

Did you get through the locked door and retrieve the lever handle from a chest?

apparently not. i guess i need to find the locked door. this is a confusing one...

ok i can't find the locked door. when i came into the cave, i went down the stairs and walked over the wooden slats over the lava pit. went upstairs and chatted with Kezz, then went back down stairs to where the elevator is. but there is no locked door and the elevator wont work till i fix it apparently. anyone know where that dang locked door is? apparently there is the lever to fix the elevator in it...

so i spent about another half hour looking for the locked door and backtracking - there are only really 3 areas in the cave - the entrance, the area where Kezz is/was, and the area where the elevtor sits with no handle.

but apparently there is a locked door behind which is a chest with a lever for the elevator? i can't find it. is it a glitch in my game? my reward is supposed to be 4 Malachite gems which i'd really like to get...

and on one of the walkthru's, it says... "Go straight now, you will get to an elevator M5.14(2), use it to get to the lower level". well the elevator has a lever OUTSIDE of it to call the elevator, but there is no button on the inside to get it to move. ugh...

You can activate the elevator when you stand inside it, and then press 'e' to activate the lever. Just stand in it, and activate.

You will go down now, and come across the door, with the chest inside. Take the lever from the chest, put in the right place near the elevator and go down again.

not to sound totally stupid, but what is the "'e" to activate? i'm playing with xbox 360 so i'm not sure what button activates taht...

it's not a stupid question I'm only used to the PC version, so I don't know what it is on the x-box. But it's the same button that you use for talking with NPC's, opening doors, etc.

The trick is to stand inside the elevator and then activate the lever (with that button).
