There is no way to disable the anti-dragon shields around the harbour or High Hall.
For the barrier in the channel south of the harbour, there are four ballistas that you need to destroy (surrounded by a blue lightning kind of effect), one of which may be just inside the barrier, IIRC (Fire Sphere can take care of that, or I think it is still within Fire Breath range).

I got the game as soon as it was available, which, around here, was several days after the official North American release date (Jan 5th), and have been following the forum since forever.

Well I took a little break from the game and am at it again. I've managed to get to Stone. Can't seem to get by him though. 2 hits and I'm dead. Managed to make it to level 28.

Stone cannot stand to a warrior class based hero.

Thanks Raze. I did do a search to try an find a thread already on this, and nothing came up. That linked thread actually helps a lot.

Is the Quarry an area that can be cleared before you get your Battle Tower? I tried going through it but once I entered a building there were two level 27s there, so it seemed like something to be saved for later. Of course, now that I've gotten my tower, Broken Valley appears to be...off limits completely. smile Did I miss something or was it meant for a higher level?

The top of the quarry walls and tower are still above the gas, as is the top of Lovis' tower, and a couple other places (in addition to the flying fortress platforms).
If you wait until near the end of Sentinel Island, and/or explored the fjords a bit before getting the battle tower, you could have taken out the first two guards (I did so at level 16 or 17, with help from my creature), but actually finishing the tower off would be difficult. It is meant to be done after getting the battle tower.

I didn't take out anything in the quarry for the same reasons (too high a level), and have saved it for now. Course now I'm up to level 32 and headed after Kira. Then perhaps I'll head back to the valley to kill off some more. How hard do you suppose that's going to be Raze?

On another side note, the only fortress boss I haven't been able to defeat is Raze. I've tried a couple of different techniques that I found through the boards, but still haven't gotten it down. I figured after I took out Kira I'd try again. Any ideas?

Broken Valley should be easy for you; IIRC the dragon general at the mountain entrance is level 28, and the fortresses there are a little easier than that for Kali; the fortresses for Stone and Raze are easiest, while Keara is the hardest.

For Raze, just being a higher level, presumably with better weapons, you should do damage faster than before, which should make the combat easier. As for technique, you may have already seen this, but:
Stand near one of the regeneration chambers, and that will be the one he goes for when his health gets down; if you temporarily deactivate that one using the nearby lever (or block his path with your creature, summons and/or his summoned walking armours), he should not be able to make it to the other chamber (Rush Attack, a bow or magic should be able to finish him off).

General Raze how defeated?

Ah thanks. I killed everyone outside, so at least I did that much already. How about that locked door at the base of Lovis' Tower? What was that about?

At the top of Lovis' tower, on the floor with the skeleton smith, if you had looked into the scrying stone you would have been teleported to the dungeon, and would have exited out of that door. Alternately, had you returned the stone to the priest (wandering around beside the church) first, he would have looked into the stone, and after going into the church and getting a quest to find out what happened to him, you could have entered the now unlocked door at the base of the tower. Using the scrying stone yourself gives you a little better rewards (you can mindread someone for a stat point, who would not be there otherwise), and the priest is a lot better off (at least until you take the battle tower).

Thanks. I gave it to the priest, but never got the subsequent quest. Oh well!

Ok, I am after zepplin parts. The only one I haven't found yet says that it's near Keara's fortress on the map found here: http://guides.gamepressure.com/divinityiiegodraconis/guide.asp?ID=8184

Is this wrong, or what am I suppose to be looking for?

Never Mind. By luck I got it.
