I think the game is far too easy. when I was a lvl 33( on hardest lvl) fighting lvl 29's, the only ground enemy which could harm me was the skeleton archer for 1 damage or 3 on occasion which was healed instantly, (If I wanted I could have stood there and let poison kill them although would have taken a while) that also means the reflect and retaliation abilitys are useless frown.

It would also be good if the fights could be made longer, or have respawned enemys after a certain period, although the enemys would have to lvl also.

So Raven, how do you do that? Which "Skills" for example do you use most and how much points in each skill?
I'm curious .. totally NO weapons used? smirk

Yeah it would be quite easy with no wepons if ur a spell caster, not a bad idea that and it might make the fights last longer. Lol I was using two unique weapons lvl 28 and 31.

Fans wanted Gothic 2 to become harder.

Since I learned about it, I refused to buy the Add-On that made Gothic 2 harder. Unfortunatelynowadays only the "Gold" version combining full game + Add-On is available. THe main game as a standalone is only available through the secondary markt.
And before you begin thinking of it : No, I don't pirate games. It's simply not my style. I'm too honest for that.

Actually, I thought the start was quite hard ( I was playing on normal ) and the more I was progressing the easier it started to get.. and at the end the enemies were hitting for 0 damage, I think simply making the enemies harder doesn't cut it. They have to make the game easier at the start, and harder at the end. NOT the otherway around, like it is now. (I was L35 at the end, and even when switching to hard difficulty the enemies were doing nothing but 0 damage, and occasionally a little more, which I simply outgenerated. Until the final battle that is)

This game kicked my butt. No thanks to a harder difficulty.

My Favorite RPGs: Divinity franchise, Gothic franchise (including Arcania, so I think I'm alone...), Venetica, Risen, Two Worlds II, The Witcher, Sacred franchise, Fallout franchise, Mass Effect 1, Alpha Protocol, Planescape: Torment, Drakensang, KOTOR 1 & 2, etc.

I'm very curious about this:

LArian make Ego Draconis even better when FoV comes out, also this:

the LEVEL-based combat system would be better (enemies from level under your level can do always "damage"! )
So I hope that the beginning of ED become a little more easy and further in the game it become more difficult on that way! delight
I play on Low, Normal and now High and not so many difference between all three levels...

i found the start frustrating, and challenging as i had to invest in lock picking skills, though after lvl 15, it was quite easy. My lvl 15 mage was venturing into the fjords with barely a problem.
ok he rested a bit.
