Hi Guys,

I bought the game and when i try to install it, it throws a cycle redundancy error(which pretty much to my knowledge means that the dvd was not burned correctly) when trying to install the textures.dv2 file, when i ignore it and continue the installation i can play the game but without textures... so i downloaded a textures mod(from this site http://www.moddb.com/mods/ego-dragonis-divinity-2-texturen-mod the whole 1.06gb file) and apply the mods, but to no avail i still don't have textures in the game...

Does anyone know how to fix this problem, because i went back to the retailer and that was their last copy(conveniantly).

Check the DVD for dust, fingerprints or scratches. CRC errors can be the result of a damaged disk (which may or may not be visible), or a conflict / problem with the drive or system.

In Windows Explorer, try manually copying the textures.dv2 file from the disk to the corresponding folder on the hard drive.

Try a different optical drive, if possible. Another drive may be better at reading the disk, or the one you tried could be starting to fail. If you bought the game at a computer store, or a game store with a demo system set up, they should be willing to check if the disk is readable there.

Also, shut down all non-essential programs (especially anti-virus) before trying to install the game.

or better yet, return the game to the vendor in disgust, venting volumes of disgust and vomit your disparity, he may give you a new copy.
