Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General whew!finally out of the catacombs, some q's

i finally made it out of the catacombs in one piece yesterday. my lvl 8 warrior fought all the skeletal warriors/archers/conjurers/guardians after slaying thelyron. didn't want to miss out on the experience and the pure mayhem that ensued. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> the steel scorpions helped a lot.

anyway, a few questions from hereon in:

(1) as soon as i got back to town, george has been murdered. how do i get to fully repair my equipment? my repair skill is only lvl 1 and my equipment has been mangled badly after that long & gruesome fight at the last level of the catacombs. i'm anticipating more fights along the way as i escort the healers. is there anyone else in town who can repair?

(2) how do i properly pick up the second teleporter stone? when i open my inventory & left click on the 2nd stone, i get transported back to town without the stone in my inventory.

(3) how do i make a duplicate of the healing gem? i've read the manuscript & tried to follow the instructions: drop the magic mirror in the healing shrine followed by the healing gem, but all i get is one healing gem after. i click like crazy on the healing shrine, but no duplicate gem can be found.

i may not be a veteren but i can help here. no one can repair in the town, consider it toast and survive on your own for awhile. to pick up a stone drag it to your inventory. How it works leave one stone on ground and one in inventory and you will be transported to the stone on the ground with the other stone still in your inventory. Leave one stone on the ground and the other some where else and you click on one on the ground to be transported between the two. If you lost the stones in the catacombs then there is a lever somewhere that opens the locked door to the other stone, the stone you would have teleported to if you have already done so. Drop the mirror anywhere in the huge pond located exactly lower right of the lizard man's house and drop the gem too in the pond and then presto poof! two gems. heal each by talking to each injured fellow. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

1 rank of repair will be sufficient. Your gear doesnt lose durability as you repair it, unlike other games (original Diablo, Darkstone). Just keep repairing as necessary. 60% is better than 0

Otho can repair equipment, though you can just repair them yourself a little more frequently.

Open your inventory, stand close to the teleporter stone, then drag-and-drop it into your inventory.

You need to drop the mirror in a deep pool of water. The puddle around the gem shrine is not large enough, but south of there is a larger puddle, south east of Goemoe's house.

thanks for the tips. was able to heal the two injured people, verlat & simon (?), and was finally able to pick up the second teleporter stone. though i found it quite difficult to target for pick-up at first. anyway, on with the game!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
