Wowza...bought the game a few days back...been hooked to it ever since.

Why did this game get such low reviews? It is so fantastic and comparable to Mass Effect 2 and Oblivion (in quality)...

Love the graphics and everything about it...why such a low review? Only problem I see with it is frame rate goes wacky every now and then but no big deal...

There were some good and very good reviews, as well. For the bad reviews, some of them focused excessively on graphics or didn't seem to know what an RPG is; one reviewer had some harsh criticism about the plot and went on about it a fair bit, obviously never reading any of the books or dialogs throughout the game, in order to miss what he claimed wasn't there.
In any case, reviews are simply someone's opinion, so the content of any half-decent review is more important than the overall score. I've bought games based partly on bad reviews, if the major negative points were things I don't care much about (like graphics) or don't consider negatives (lack of respawns, or too much reading required), etc.

Do you agree with gamespot's review of Ego Draconis

I wouldn't want this game ANY OTHER way!

This game is head and shoulders above Oblivion (not hard to do, but still) and easily on a par with Mass Effect.

I think bad reviews were mostly caused by people getting spooked by a brutal early-on difficulty curve. Nobody likes to die and reload these days.
