So I was fighting some skeletons and after the battle was over I notice that I have been disarmed ( I guess)...I have no weapon and my sheild is gone. They are not in my inventory, and don't seem to be anywhere on the ground either. Can enemies take your weapon/shield? If not, what happened? Is that a bug? I hate to reload a save but will in order to not lose my good weapon....

Enemies can not disarm you...

There are three weapon set hotkeys in the PC version (F1-F3). I'm not sure how they work, but could you have accidentally hit one of these keys, and switched to an empty set?
With the Xbox version you can equips weapon(s) and a shield in your hands and equip a ranged weapon; the game automatically switches back an forth depending on whether you use a melee or ranged attack button/skill.

Hmmm...if I had switched to an empty set would the other weapons be in my inventory though? I've actually already reloaded a save now but am really curious what happened to my weapon/shield.

I would assume weapons stay equipped when you switch to a different set, rather than swapping them in and out of your inventory whenever you switch. Try hitting the hotkeys now, and see how it behaves; if your current weapons disappear, only to reappear when you switch sets and back again, that is probably what happened before; if they do get put back in the inventory, or something, then an accidental key press wasn't the problem.

I tested it and you are absolutely right, when you swap sets the other set stays equipped. I guess I hadn't lost the others after all! Oh well, I did reload a previous save already, but won't make that mistake again. Thanks so much for the info!
