Hey all!

I'm playing this on the pc, and can't jump to the ledges to get to the lever. Anybody playing this on the pc able to do this? My character just jumps up and can't jump across to the 2nd ledge. It's SOOOO agravating!! Help?!?!?!

Also, does anybody know if it's possible to use a controller/joystick on the pc version?

Are you continuing to hold the W (or arrow) button down when you jump?

Depending on the situation you may find that either an extreme high or low camera angle may help.

You can use a gamepad, etc, with the PC version of the game (pc 360 controller help).

floating platforms (minor spoilers)

This game punishes those with poor eye-hand skills

Where are you, exactly? The ledges by the teleporter shrine you should be able to jump over to the second ledge. It's been awhile since I went through that part, but I think there was another ledge there (by the entrance?) that you can not get to from the ground, and need to jump down to from above (or maybe I just missed the ledge when I first went through).

If you edge around the left side of the main gate, you can jump across into that section, and continue from there (unless you are already past that point).

Thanks so much for the help, Raze. I'll try the jumping again, but I'm almost ready to throw the game off the balcony. lol Jumping using a pc just sux!

Is there a "how-to" guide for the controller? Like how to map it and stuff? I don't see any options for it in the game, just for the keyboard/mouse. I'm trying to use a PS3 controller, not a xbox one. Is that the problem?

Thanks again!

If Windows sees the controller, then AFAIK it should work in the game (I have the Xbox version).

I don't think the game has built-in profiles for any gamepads, so you likely need to go into the options, change the keys assigned to each action, and hit a gamepad button at the appropriate step. Alternately, the gamepad may have come with software to allow you to define keys/macros to button presses, etc, so you could have the gamepad send keystrokes to the game. Someone in the pc 360 controller help topic mentioned using Pinnacle Game Profiler (shareware); maybe something like that could help (Xpadder 5.3 is freeware, later versions are shareware).

Thanks again, Raze!

I got the controller working, but still can't do the jumping. Oh well... I'll figure it out eventually. For now, I'll just go do other quests. wink

If you still have problems when you return to that (I did much of Broken Valley before getting around to visiting Lovis), post where you are, exactly. There may be a YouTube video of that part of the game, as well, that could be helpful, depending what the problem is.

Ahhh!! You jump down, not up?? Well, that would make things ALOT easier! I must be in the wrong place, then!

Thanks, Akatosh! I'll have to walk around some more and look for that!

After the gate opened by the 4 dragon statues' pressure plates, the path splits: keep to the left to spiral up to the room where the skeleton smith is, or right to go down a bit to a ladder leading down to a small platform giving access to the section with the door to Lovis' chamber.
