Hi all,

I downloaded the demo from my xbox360 few days ago, and after 2 hours of demo Im about to bacome a fan of this game.

I saw the news "Divinity II - The Dragon Knight Saga" is coming this year, since they have not yet announce the release date for North America (I live in Canada), Im gonna assume I wont be able to see this game on any locol store.

So here is my question, if I order this game (Divinity II - The Dragon Knight Saga) from UK, will I be able to play on my US console?

thank you all.

It depends on the game, but in general US and UK Xbox games are not compatible with the opposite console (NTSC vs PAL). Some people ordered the German PC version of D2:ED to play before the English release, but there was nothing mentioned in the forum about getting the UK Xbox version before the US release...

In any case, DKS should still be available in Canada, though (presumably in October), even without a North American publisher or date announced yet.

It took awhile to announce a North American publisher for D2:ED, as well, so I don't see any reason to start worrying yet.

What IS D2: Dragon Knight Saga vs. D2:ED and FoV? Is it a sequel, or a compilation of ED and FoV?

D2: Dragon Knight Saga = D2:ED + FoV. And perhaps with something extra wink But I'm not sure if anything is announced about that yet.

At this point I'd only rent D2: ED and wait to purchase D2 DKS which will be everything.

Btw, welcome to our lovely community smile

With a few good bottles of Mountain Dew and Pizzas and a free weekend you'll get to play threw most of the game.

Every time there I run into trouble on the road, there is always a dwarf at the bottom of it. Don't they know how to drive above ground?

"Release Ego Draconis (remastered heavily) together with Flames Of Vengeance on PC & X360 under the name The Dragon Knight Saga.

You can take that "remastered heavily" part seriously as we've literally redesigned almost all dragon parts, especially the flying fortresses, drastically changed loot/enemies and retouched quite some artwork. The net result is a much more streamlined experience that is a lot more fun (we think ;\) )"

I hope that FoV will make D2:ED the same way as The Dragon Knight Saga will be? Or will the upgrade for the flying fortresses only be within the DKS? frown

And I have two other questions aswell smile

First, the graphics will improve, so does that mean that the system requirements will be higher
aswell?

And secondly, will the quest resolts of D2:ED have any influence on FoV? And if they do, how will that work when you make a brand new character for FoV?

FoV will include engine updates (etc) for D2:ED, but AFAIK not the remastered parts of DKS.

Presumably the graphical improvements combined with the engine optimizations will mean the requirements will not increase (or they will have to add options for any added graphical features that required more resources).

That other topic is long, so I figure I'll ask this in case anyone knows and can give me a short answer.

1: Is there any word on whether saves will be compatible (whether cross-compatible or importable into DKS)? Although it isn't THAT big of a deal (since importing a ED save would mean you couldn't experience the game before it remastered), I'd still be interested.

I could understand why it wouldn't be, though, espcially with dungeon redesign.

2: Will the 360 version of DKS be much smoother and without the lag? The lag as it is is pretty tolerable, but no lag would be even better.

3: Just how significant a difference is it supposed to be? Is it just graphical and dungeon design remastering? Or are there new items, skills, or other such aspects of the game, too?

EDIT:
4: Finally, I read some of the other topic. Is it true that they're only releasing FoV by itself on the PC, and that those who want it on 360 will HAVE to buy DKS, due to no 360 release of FoV? This would actually really affect my desire to be able to import my save into DKS, then. If I'm not able to, that'll be a huge blow to my will to finish playing ED as it is, as well as completing my guide.

So, to get all the content for PC, it's not enough to own the original game and buy the expansion, I instead have to re-buy the special pack with both?

I will probably do that, but that annoys me.

Yeah I agree with you on that Stabbey. I was hoping that the original + FoV would contain it all. But as far as I see it now, you've got to buy the original game twice frown

I'm really disappointed by that..

Strange smirk ...
I was first thinking the PC players must buy only FoV and can download for free a PATCH for D II : ED so that will be remastered !

I understand this can't be with the Xbox version, but with PC make a patch must certainly possible ? No ? Right ??
I'm confused now I must say ... smirk
