I have no idea if you cut it entirely (no spoilers, please!), but I played the AddOn for a few hours now and I like it.
But I loved the dragon-parts of the original game.

Admitted, the Flying Fortresses were some sort of Overkill but really... cutting the dragon parts entirely or at least reducing them as much as it was done is overkill in the other direction.

The dragon transformations were pretty fun and were a large part of what you were. While I enjoy the AddOn a lot I find it a bit sad I cannot fly around as dragon anymore.

Maybe it would have been too much work to build a new area where you can fly around and change at will as it was in the original game (it's "only" an AddOn after all) but... yes...

I'm fine with that. I dig the dragon combat, but I definitely prefer the human combat.

My Favorite RPGs: Divinity franchise, Gothic franchise (including Arcania, so I think I'm alone...), Venetica, Risen, Two Worlds II, The Witcher, Sacred franchise, Fallout franchise, Mass Effect 1, Alpha Protocol, Planescape: Torment, Drakensang, KOTOR 1 & 2, etc.

Yes, but a shift from "lots of dragon combat and lots of human combat" to "no dragon combat and lots of human combat" is not really to my taste.

I know many people disliked the dragon shape (I really loved it, especially on the second playthrough) but cutting it entirely feels a bit *hrmpf*.

It's all down to personal preference.

I don't dislike the dragon combat, but I also didn't like it as much as the human combat.

No!! *sob* Dragon fighting was my favorite part, hell, that's what made the game stand out and so enjoyable!

Is there ANY dragon combat left at all in the add-on?

Yes, there is.

I am in blood
Stepp'd in so far, that, should I wade no more,
Returning were as tedious as go o'er.
