On the PC version, patched to 1.03. The camera speed is incredibly fast and makes it very difficult (edging on impossible) to effectively turn the camera and stop at a given angle/point. Just the slightest touch on the mouse sends it spinning. Is there a way to adjust the camera turn speed? I've searched this site and googled and can find nothing.

I'm not familiar with the PC version options, but can you just turn down your overall mouse sensitivity (in the game or Windows), or would that make response in other places too slow?

How long have you been playing? It may get better as you get used to the controls (it has for me in other games, anyway).

Thanks for the reply, Raze. No, I tried adjusting the mouse speed and it didn't make a difference. I've only been playing it for a few minutes. Maybe I'll get used to it, I don't know. It's pretty annoying as it is though and I'm not sure I can convince myself to invest enough time to get used to the way it is. I'll certainly give it a shot if there's no way to adjust it though.

Having played the PC version, that does sound... wrong.

If you've already cranked the mouse sensitivity down, both ingame and in windows, I guess it could be that it's borking because you're getting a misreported framerate, so its understanding of "time" is wrong?. Try fiddling with the "timeslilce" options in the graphics options, or turning on/off frame rate limiting in your videocard options.

But that's just wild guessing on my part: I have not experienced this bug.

Okay, I figured it out. I have two machines at my desk and they're networked. I use a program called Synergy to allow me to control both machines with one keyboard and mouse. It was Synergy that was causing the issue. It's all good now. Thanks for your suggestions guys, and sorry for wasting your time.

Thanks for posting the solution. Hopefully it will help if anyone else runs into a similar problem.

No problem. I always hate it when someone posts an issue, then figures the problem out and doesn't post the solution.

You weren't wasting our time: I use Synergy at home, too, and that would've bitten me eventually, I'm sure. Thank you for the warning!

[I wish Synergy were still being developed - no updates since 2006 :(]
