Well, I was reading on the official FAQ and it said there was going to be a new game package for Divinity 2 when FoV is released. The same thing happened with GTA4 with its expansions but it also had an option to be purchased and added on as downloadable content. Will FoV be available as an addon in the marketplace? Or do I have to go get a new disk in October(ish)? I just recently bought Divinity 2 for Xbox (about two weeks ago, so I could start racking up achievements after beating it on PC. I already bought the game twice now.. so a DLC would certainly be more convenient.

Flames of Vengeance will only be downloadable on PCs.

Xbox 360 owners (myself included) will have to buy the compilation Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga, which contains an improved version of Ego Draconis and the Flames of Vengeance expansion. It will be out in october.

Yep - we have to buy Ego Draconis AGAIN... *grumble*

FoV is too large to be released as DLC on the Xbox, as Larian had originally intended to do.

why don't they release the expansion seperately like dragon age awakening that would be the smart thing to do if they cannot put it on the xbox marketplace im not going to be very cool about buying a game i already have.

It probably didn't sell enough to warrant a standalone disc with the Expansion.

Actually. I heard a separate disc will be released just with the expansion and also the dragon knight saga according to the official FAQ. Unless this has been changed..it doesn't effect me since I sold my copy for the same prize on Amazon.co.uk as soon as I heard about this! I'd prefer having it all in one complete package.

Thats for PC Only.

On Xbox, only the DKS will be available.
No standalone FOV for consoles.

Hmm. I guess that information I heard was incorrect then since other threads mention what you said as well. This makes me glad I sold my copy of the original game for the same price I brought it earlier on. Still, this is annoying. I can imagine those who just brought Divinity II and know nothing about this.

Funny really considering you can download full retail games on Xbox Live. Pretty sure Dragon Age Origins: Awakening is available on Xbox live aswell as some other game expansions which are quite large in size (Lost and the Damned?).

Saying that Microsoft always seems keen to bend their own rules for some of the larger developers out there.
