I have a question about GINSENG.

Is it fairly scarce? I've reached Sentinel Island so far, and to date I've found very few ginseng plants, comparatively speaking (thinking of e.g. fatfern and fanny blossom).

I ask because my eyes are well past their sell-by date, and it may be that I'm just not seeing all the available ginseng plants as I explore the various areas.

I know some merchants sell it but, judging by Lancet's excellent FAQ (for which, Lancet, my heartfelt thanks), even they seem not to have plentiful quantities on offer.

AFAIR ginseng is a little scarce on Sentinel Island, and in Broken Valley it is certainly less common than fatfern / fanny blossom / wisperwood. Before getting the battle tower I had 8 ginseng in my inventory, and had made a few potions a couple of times, so possibly used another 20 or 30.

Ginseng is abnormally rare compared to other plants. Fanny Blossom, Fatfern, and Whisperwood are much more common. Black Roses seemed pretty numerous as well.

Oak Tears seems somewhat common (especially in planters in buildings), but are useless, since no recipe in the game uses them. Holy Basil a bit rarer (and only useful if you choose Allan).

Dragon Nail I found a couple of, I think, but it was pretty rare. Moonshine I can't recall EVER finding. Stardust was pretty rare, with only a few on Sentinel Island. Fahrangite was pretty common in Sentinel Island and in some places in the Fjords, but was almost non-existent in the Valley.
