Changing resolution

So when I try to change the resolution ingame, it only offers me 1024x768 and below.
My friend, who has a Core i3 and ATI HD5770, only offers 800x600 and below.

Is this a bug?
We tried to edit the "graphicoptions.xml", but it reverts itself to default when starting the game, no matter what I write (tried only-readable, but didn't work).

Did you try running the game as administrator? That got higher resolutions to show up in the options for a couple people.

Resolution no higher than desktop

Change you desktop resolution to the desired in-game resolution.
