Very weird ending, I guess I failed to stop the bad guy ??

Overall, a very enjoyable game, with a few issues

Cons
1) manual is poor on explanations of game mechanics
2) balance is OK, but not great: game is VERY hard at beginning, generally gets progressively easier, but with discrete steps of diffeculty as monsters are 'upgraded' or you get new spells/skill. Skill step level seems large. Was VERY EASY at end: 2 or 3 sword hits to kill most monsters
3) a lot of mouse use required, although targeting with CTRL key helps for melee attacks at least
4) Didn't like the cliff hanger ending

Pros
1) Like the skill system, lots of options, gives good re-play value
2) Sounds are very good: music, effects (voice acting is mediocre though)
3) good graphics, especially for age!
4) Gameplay was fun
5) Pretty bug free and stable; I think I had about 5 or 6 crashes total, most when trying to pick up an item I couldn't see; but it did crash 'hard'; needed to re-boot Win7 a few times.

overall I rate it 8/10, would have been 9/10 except for ending!!

About the ending, posted by Marian in another topic;

*sigh*
I would have never thought that the language of pure image is so hard to understand. We have to think about that in the future...

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!

Ascension "Blessing" cutscene
After you got sacrificed by the council of seven your spirit awakes in a divine realms on an altar. Around you the ideas of the seven gods are manifesting. You can roughly separate impish, human, elven or orcish gods...
Everyone of them grabs into their chest and puts a small part of the heart into your weightless shape. After you received all blessing the div in you is fully developed and so her wings grow and she flies up to the mortal plane where she descends as the reborn hero into the wastelands.

Extro scene
You see the demon of lies dying. In fact you see the mutiliated body of janus ripped into pieces and the leftover, the sword of lies, remains. It comes closer and tries to seduce the hero. The hero is tempted to take it but refuses and sends it back to hell away from the mortal plane.
Then the hero hears the cries of the baby. Knowing that it is the lord of chaos inside the child he/she draws the dagger to kill it. In the hero's moral struggle to kill a neborn innocent child the scene fades out.
Much later you see the hero walk out victorious into the swamp area. He carries something. Loot? The child? You don't know for sure...
Somewhere on a distant hill Arhu and Zandalor watch you coming when suddenly the statue you lifted up in the sky while entering the katacombs of aleroth comes down finally...(side joke, nothing more)

DD music - The music extractor program expects to find the music file in a specific path under the Divine Divinity folder, which changed slightly in the download version of the game; it should be easy enough to temporarily move the file to the expected subfolder, or there are links to download the soundtrack in mp3 format on the composer's website.

Actually, I did pretty much understand the ending (and the divinity ceremony earlier), I just didn't like the "non-ending" or "cliff-hanger ending" or whatever you want to call it; especially since the Lord of Chaos got loose - which means failure of main mission

With the right strategy and enough patient to search first the area's my hero can survive etc etc ... I didn't find DD in the beginning difficult at all!(I have approximately the same with Ego Draconis).
Okay, I must be careful because of low HP in the beginning, but even without any reloads for better stuff, I'm now level 26 and have already a HP value above 600 !!

On 7th of february 2015 : I start a new adventure in the Divinity world of Original Sin,
it's a Fantastic Freaking Fabulous Funny ... it's my All Time Favorite One !
