Will DKS be able to import an XBOX 360 Ego Draconis save (end of original game) and allow us to carry that character forward in the story or will we have to restart from the beginning?

I'm almost sure you must begin at the start, in Farglow !


But somebody know this, correct me if I'm wrong !

No savegames from the original Ego Draconis can be used.
You either have to start again from the very beginning OR start at the beginning of flames of vengeance with a lvl 35 character.

That makes no sense whatsoever. Very dissapointing. For me, its a deal killer.

If you are playing on PC, get FoV and you can continue with your existing save.

There were too many changes to loot, enemy placement, etc to maintain saved game compatibility in DKS. It would have been nice to at least be able to import your stats, equipment and inventory from a save at the end of D2:ED, but you should be able to get a fair approximation starting a new level 35 character (your equipment you would be likely upgrading again anyway).

For XBox, should ask on an XBox related gaming site if region protection is enabled. For the PC it isn't an issue as there are a ton of software (probably can find free) to easily circumvent region protection, but an XBox is different.

I use xbox and I'm fine with starting over but what about the DLC? I get the impression that since the saves are not importable then the DLC probably won't be either... But here's hoping.

That is very annoying but at least it means I get even more game time playing through the game again.

Larian said the current saves are not compatible with DKS for PC, so if it was DLC for Xbox you'd have to start over anyway. As for Xbox, it is limitations set by Micro$haft that prevents the expansion to be DLC.
