Larian Studios Forums Divinity II The Dragon Knight Saga / Flames of Vengeance (English) Divinity II - The Dragon Knight Saga Wait... shouldn't this be Divinity 3?

Divine Divinity, Beyond Divinity, Divinity 2? They even name beyond Divinity as the second game in the Divinity universe.

I've only ever played Divinity 2 so what makes Divinity 2 the second game over Beyond Divinity?

Beyond Divinity was more of a Spin-Of apparently.
It seems, only was introduced to the series when Div II came out, so I'm not too sure.

Beyond Divinity was in the same universe, but not in Rivellon. DD was released in 2002, BD in 2004.

can someone sum up the story (DD and BD plotline spoilers, though some of it is described throughout D2:ED as well)
