Hi,

Using Windows 7 32bit.
Nvidia 260.99 Drivers with Sli gtx260 216 -
2.87Gb ram usable
Overclocked Q6700@3.6

Unable to set the texture quality to high - Keeps reverting back to medium with message saying not enough resources.

I have found that setting the .exe with XP sp3 compatibility mode that I am able to use High Textures but not using the default Windows 7 mode.

I am thinking that this is maybe a bug with the Nvidia Drivers.

Also I have dual monitors and all other are set to Extreme mode.

Anyone else with this problem?????

Using Windows 7 32 Bit
Nvidia 260.99 gtx 280 (graphics), gtx 260 (physx)
2.75GB ram usable
Q9650 stock

The game is from steam, I will try the compatability mode

I can set everything to maximum it is only the textures

While I don't have an SLI or Crossfire setup, the "Readme" file for DKS states the following:

" * Disable Crossfire / SLI for this game. "

It's usually not a bad idea to check the manual and "Readme" files when starting a new game or experiencing problems. idea

Hope this helps...

This is good advice but mine is not in SLI the two graphics card are separate and assigned to do different things,

Because of the gfx upgrades that were done, the game requires more memory for its textures when the setting is on high. On windows XP, 2GB is enough, but vista & windows 7 take up so much memory on their own that you need at least 3GB to be able to load the textures. The game prevents you from putting the textures to high as a safety measure when it detects insufficient memory, because we know that it will cause problems at a certain point (really nasty ones).

I can understand that but I have to admit that so far after setting to compatability mode and running with the textures on high there is no slow down what so ever,
On a side note I must admit the graphics are a vast improvement over the original, excellent work

hmmm strange issue i got here. when i run the game (windows 7 normal mode) the game micro-stutters and doesnt allow me to use high textures. and on XP compatible mode with high textures the game is smooth as hell. seriously, better patch that block out because with high textures the game runs way smoother. XDDD

That worked perfectly.

Wouldn't run in High Texture, let alone Extreme, until I set to XP 3 compatibility mode.

Am running Win7, 8 gigs, quad extreme core, crossfire with 6950's.
