Hi all. I already own a copy of the original Divinity 2 via Direct 2 Drive. What I want to know is will I still get the remastered original if I just by the expansion, or do I need to by the more expensive version to get the remastered original?

Ah, I think I have my answer from another post from Lar_Q in a different section of the forums. It looks like I will need to get the more expensive version in order to enjoy the remastered original. Oh well, it looks like it will be worth it.

Actually, there should be a (large) conversion patch released which will turn D2:ED + FoV into DKS. When first proposed Lar did caution that the patch would have to be approved by the publishers, but a more recent mention seemed more definite, IMO.

Also, Larian is currently testing something to get their version of FoV to work with digital distributions of D2:ED (currently requires a DVD versions). Assuming that works, there may not be any technical issues with a DKS conversion patch released for D2D, either, if they don't actively support it.

Yeah, considering some of the changes might be controversial I think having ED plus FoV and then the option of the patch is the best all-around method, really. Assuming the patch comes out.
