Xbox 360 version.

Ive run into a couple situations recently whereby ive got a full inventory when completing quests.

what happens to the overflow if the npc gives you an item that is not on the list of choices when selecting rewards?

(eg. npc gives a bow as a reward thats not listed on the choices for extra experience, gold, spoon etc. for example duraks armour in broken valley)

i ask because im sure npc's have been giving me things but ive got nothing in my inventory

When you have a full inventory (100/100 for instance) and get items forced on you through quest rewards or story moments, you will actually go over 100 (102/100 for instance) You will get those items in your inventory. You just won't be able to pick up/loot or buy any items until you've moved some items out of your inventory (sold 3 items to get back to 99/100)

So if you haven't gotten an item which you think you should've gotten, that may be a bug and you should contact support.

i cant remember all the instances where i felt i hadnt received something.

however i can remember the librarian quest in maxos temple. after completing it, the librarian says something like 'here is a book you will find useful' but i dont have the book.

i assume its a skill book. if so, i didnt get it.
however it might just be the second part of the book he wanted me to find. which i did get.

Yeah he gives you the second book that you need to progress.
