but when i reach the part were you have to talk to that big tree
the game crashes and my pc shuts down...

ive tried everything updating drivers, sound, video, lowring graphic settings... but nothing works
i cant seem to talk to the tree... the game allways crashes then i hear the sound
of the tree talking very slowly and my pc shuts down...

ive read most of the post in here, but i cant find a sulution.

Did you try a clean reinstall of the game?

Which tree are you at? For the tree on the island near the start of the fjords, try climbing up the ladder and entering the treehouse. Leaving there may trigger the appearance of a goblin (though you can not interact with him until after talking to the tree), which could conceivably make a difference dealing with the tree.

Have you tried talking to the second tree, north of the north east end of the long island in the middle of the channel that leads to the harbour? (ie across from the entrance to Stone's flying fortress)

its a tree that sends lightings... right in the beginning of the game... where you have to use a big elevator to go down, then you see a cut scene of the soldiers talking to wich other, one of them tries to go into begger nest ( i think ) and gets attacked by lighting...
when ever i talk to the tree the game crashes and my pc shuts down

I also dont know what trees are you talking about, but i think the trees you are referering, are later in the game, iam still at the beginning of the game

Wow. I'd keep an eye on your card temperature, as well as CPU / disk / GPU fans spinning properly. Also, it's might be helpful to know what version you are playing (ED + FOV or DKS).

I thought you were referring to the talking trees in the fjords, in the mid to late section of D2:ED. There is also a talking tree at the beginning of Broken Valley (early D2:ED section), but it doesn't trigger any lightning. Since I don't know what you are talking about either, I'd guess you started with the FoV section of the game (level 35, in Aleroth).
