Anyone have a general idea of the size of the add-on? I'm just curious. Additionally, was there a retail release for this one, or is it mostly/entirely digital? I got the retail of the last one, and would prefer to find the retail of this one as well if possible (I don't qualify for the Steam discount anyway so not really losing anything either way).

If someone can respond quickly, please do so. I require time to skitter out and make purchase before places close if there is a retail one floating about.

This big expansion adds nearly 30 hours of gameplay to the original story, with dozens of new quests, original creatures and many new items such as weapons and armour sets… and offers a spectacular finale to the Divinity II saga!

Actually that about answers my question. I was wondering if it was more of a DLC for people who got hte remastered edition, or if it was more of a complete expansion. It's apparently a full expansion 8D! Sadly I don't think there's a retail version though. Best Buy and Amazon don't have an entry for it. Sad, but at least it gives me an excuse to have a digital copy of the game in case my disk gets hosed at some point.

I know its a longshot, but is there any chance the remastered version accepts save games from the original? If it's a graphical overhaul then I don't see why not, but if they made major adjustments to certain things (which they very well may have) then they probably won't.

There is no retail release of FoV, just digital download.

Edit: Waiting is the hardest part

D2:ED saves are not compatible with DKS (there were too many changes made to enemy placement, loot generation, etc), though if you finished D2:ED you can start a new level 35 character in DKS (or FoV) at the beginning of the add-on.

I'm just about finished (got side tracked a few hours near the end) I'll probably finish it up in classic and then start on the add-on. The game stuck with me, so I don't really need to run through it from the start for a refresher (though seeing it in all its remastered glory would be nice).

Gamersgate, Impulse and Direct2Drive all have FoV on its own for half the price, just so you know. I guess you already bought DKS on Steam though so it's too late.

Thanks for the thought, but I'm not too bothered. I actually don't see it on Impulse right now strangely enough. It would have cost me a bit extra to order it from Gamers Gate (BoA considers it a out of country transaction or some bullcrap and started charging me fees for ordering things from there so I stopped unfortunately) and I don't like Direct2Drive in general. So in light of that I probably would have ended up grabbing it off Steam anyway. That, and in addition to helping sales out a bit, I wanted the remastered version of the original anyway. Also helps me out a bit because now I have a digital backup should my disk for the first one get boned.

You do not see it because someone forgot to hit the switch to make it availible. But it seems to be there.

With these links it can be 'preordered' as they made it so it cannot be downloaded before 'release' after people downloaded the re-release of Age of Wonders before it was time (only the first was availible, and finding the others was easy).
