Hi!

I´ve got a very strange problem.

Every time I go near the north east corner of Stormfist Castle my game crashes to the desktop.
Also it crashed after Janus gave me the quest to find Lela´s teddybear (just before Bronthion enters the room).

So I figured that it is the Bronthion character is the cause of this crash.

The question:
Did it happen to anyone else?

Or

Is there a solution to this problem?

Which patch do you have applied? If none, please download the patch over here

As far as I know, there's not a problem with Bronthion in particular...

Make sure the color depth of your desktop is set to 16 bit.
And that all non-essential programs are shut down. (e.g. antivirus scanner, emailprogr, ICQ,...)

I installed patch V1.34.

And there are no other programs running.
I tried to set the color depth to 16bit, but the game still
crashes when I enter this paticular area.
(And after I talked to Janus)

Other than that, I´ve got no problems with the game.

Are you playing with a no-cd hack? If yes, please put your cd in the driver, that prevent further problems. I know that you'll get stuck in some areas in the game if you aren't playing with the cd in the drive.

If this is not the case, then I don't know what the problem is.
I just hope you didn't ran in some corrupt files...

Try running the configuration program and switching to software mode; that helps with some cut scene problems.
