Hi, I just downloaded Divinity II Dragon The Dragon Knight Saga through Steam. When I launched the game, I created a character and everything was looking fine. After the first initial cut scene and I'm left to move about in the game, the graphic region did something terrible! There are lines going everywhere. I can't tell where the ground is. There are huge black boxes and I can't even make out my character. I've searched these forums and have not found anybody with the same problem with me, so I'm leaning on a problem perhaps with my end. These lines are terrible. They seem to come from the grounds, trees and other terrain and only visible outside with the natural terrain. Please help.

My computer specs are these:

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Model: Dell Studio XPS 8100
Processor: Intel Core i7 870 @ 2.93GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5700 ( yes they are up to date )

I know my computer is more then capable to run this game, even on Max settings. If you know of a solution please help me fix this! I am really looking forward to trying out this game!

Did you run through the faq?

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

The game uses DirectX 9c, and DirectX 10 and up are not backwards compatible (but so far as I know not having that just makes the textures transparent).

Some people with similar issues in Ego Draconis:

I recommend trying everything that's in the faq, because I'd expect that would solve it.

First of all update your drivers. You say that they are up to date, everyone says that, but I still have to meet the first user for who it was true. (ATI driver version is 10.11 at the moment)

Can you run our support tool and send the report to support@larian.com, we should be able to figure out what the problem is.

My drivers were up to date. I had just installed them the day before installing the game. I checked, they have not released a newer version. I have also read through the other posts about this same problem and tried all their suggestions. As of this moment, I am re-installing the game. That is my last option. If anyone has fixed this problem and could post what they done, it would be a great help.

PS: Thank you for the two links above, the second link was exactly the same I am experiencing and I am keeping my eye on a response there as well! Thank you.
