Is there any way to get rid of that junk ? smile

During the quest I decided to keep the axe for myself, and since then it's kinda stuck in my inventory - no way to sell or even destroy.

You're also stuck with Arben's sword, although you can get rid of that, and you're also stuck with Barnabus's Ring, which isn't even a quest item!

I was a tad confused by a lot of the permanent items in ED. I finished the game with like 15-20 items I couldn't get rid of, but I looked everywhere for quests to get rid of them and everything seemed to be completed.

I am also stuck with Raze's Cuiras...(and all the other items except Arben's sword that I gave in exchange for that chalice)

Barnabus Ring, Tagos axe, and Ritter's Rum are all quest items carried over from Ego Draconis.

all have potential to get 'stuck' in your inventory.

First, in Ego Draconis Barnabus Ring is turned in as part of 'Hunting we shall go'...
(those with doubts check game pressure guide for confirmation)
but, in DKS they take his mace instead... thus leaving you stuck with the ring.

Second, Tagos Axe is a quest item from bandit camp in broken valley. (corrected)
you only get access to bandit camp after helping bandit escape village cell.
If you mindread bandit in cell and share info with village Leutinent they will attack
the bandit camp immediately. This eliminates any possibility of meeting Tagos removing axe from inventory.

Third, this also applies to Ritter's Rum.
IF the Order attacks camp before completing Ritter's Rum quest...
picking up the rum will leave it stuck in iventory.

In ED, I think you had to turn over the mace and not ring as well. And Tagos never attacked you even in ED once you find the axe, only if you refuse to return it to him and insist on keeping it.

I took the axe back to Tagos and told him I was keeping it and he attacked me with his fists, after a sound thrashing he admitted I was better than him. I kept the axe and later sold it.

Quest items that are equippable are still flagged as impossible to drop, sell, or store. Even after a quest item loses relevance in that way, it remains flagged as such, so even once the Tagos' Axe quest is resolved one way or another, it is marked as a quest item.

Fortunately, these quest items do NOT count towards your inventory limit. The only annoyance they pose is having them in your inventory list.

It is possible to get rid of equippable quest items in DKS. You equip them first then sell them from your equipped item menu.

thanks nrish... nice tip! will try that one out later wink

update:
confirmed! if you equip the items you can sell it (0 coins)...
you will recieve a prompt asking you to confirm sale of quest item.

i do NOT recommend doing this unless you are absolutely sure the item is no longer needed!

however this does work nicely for clearing out one's inventory of 'junk' wink

I dont think that 1 or 2 items extra will be a big burden to your inventory, even before you acquired your battle tower. One can always invest a point or two into their Encumbrance and get the points back after acquiring the battle tower. With battle tower's stash, you can store as much junk as you like.

Thanks for the tip on equipping then selling quest gear! Tagos' axe and Arben's sword have been stuck in my inventory for ages now.

True, they don't count against your inventory limit, but they're annoying, you can't destroy or store them in your chest.
