two problems with the mines in high hall, the one with the troll Mundus, I can't seem to find him, I can see what looks like an elevator behind the force fields but don't know how to get to it.on one side there is a rune for the portal that says I can activate it but r clicking does nothing.

the well cave I can't open, evidently there is a key or something somewhere.

You need to finish the trolls before doing the well cave. To get past the force field you need a rune from one of the trolls (a troll rune keeper to be exact), which you need to place somewhere near the force field.

Thanks for the info, but the head troll (rune keeper) Mundus does not seem to be around, I killed a bunch of baby trolls but could not find Daddy troll. I got the key to the chest by jumping on the pillar and picking it off the cage. other than that it was pretty uneventful.

You may want to contact support; they can spawn enemies that did not show up if you email your saved game. (See here about sending saved games.)

The troll rune keeper is not Mundus. He is inside and human. The keeper should be outside the barrier on the upper level, which is fairly easy to miss ... it's left from the entry tunnel and up a short ramp.

This sounds like what is happening to me as I have been to both barriers and no troll rune keeper.
