I have found lots of good parts but haven't used them yet because the creature is doing a great job as it is. However, today I decided to check out this feature.

I told the necromancer I wanted to work on the creature. Where are all my parts?
Some rotten old ones are in the spares slots, don't want those. How can I throw them out? Will the recently found ones appear? I had them in my inventory but they disappeared when I talked to the necromancer. (I suppose like the recipes disappear after talking to Allen and Wesson?)

In the creature building window are two round slots. What are they for? How can I use them? They're not clickable at the moment.

My creature has a head, obviously, but it says "Class: none, level 23". How can I make it a certain class?

The head determines the class.

For example:

Dragon elf head = Mage class, depending on the quality of the head, your creature will know Magic Missiles rank x and another spell (magic blast?) at rank x where x determines the head's quality.

As far as the other parts go, you should be able to click the buttons next to each part (head, arms, body and legs) and different parts will be used. You can check out your creature's stats at the bottom of the page, making it easier to decide what parts to use.

I hope this helped,

Body parts are added to the list, freeing up inventory space (some for recipes). My guess is you do not have a part for the unusable slots (therefore it would be using default parts with no bonus). Not all heads have classes, so you would need a head that does.

I think he means the skill slots with the two round slots.
It's the skills your creature can use, it depends on the class your creature has.

Thanks so much for your replies.

I didn't want to mess up the default creature because it can single-handedly take out all enemies we come across, but using good parts will only make it better, won't it? I'll give it a try... or reload a save...

You'll never really mess up the creature, you'll always be able to put the original pieces back if you don't like what you've changed smile

Plus it works the same way as the upgrading yourself with a better armor/jewelry. When you get a new equipment piece (except with sets those may not show all the bonuses like Crit Dmg) hover your mouse over it. If it is better than what you already wear you will see that your numbers color changed to green, if its worse - red. Similar with pet parts - list through the ones available and chose the best one based on the green/red.
