Heya forum

I've played D2:ED and got my char ready for the expansion but it seems I bought the wrong version so I have to start over. I initially raged about it on some topics and I'd want to apologize for that.

Anyhow, I started playing the saga over and noticed how most enemies that were a tough and neat fight in the original, die in one hit, or two. It's a little silly how I one shot five skeletons of my own level with one move really. Bosses, general enemies, named enemies, just one or two clicks and they're all lootbags.

So I tried to adjust the game's difficulty but it seems to be stuck on normal, with no adjustable bar anywhere to be seen. While I don't mind some things being nerfed I sure hope I won't be one-shotting enemies above level 10 (my current level) because that's just no fun frown

Is this intended or am I doing it wrong?

Hope to hear of you soon.

Regards.

Difficulty is under gameplay I think.

It is, but there's no way to adjust it. There's no slider thing to move to hard or easy.

Are you sure there is not slider? In Ego Draconis there is, though you have to move the slider to just about exactly where the other setting is or it will revert (or go to one you did not want).

There is no slider :o

I've looked, looked again, looked everywhere, clicked it, clicked it again. nothing.
I don't know, maybe it's a bug. But I loved the challenge the game brought and I want that back ^^

Hey Foulfrost, please send a message to support@larian.com in which you describe the problem. Also mention what 'version' of the game you have, i.e. retail, steam, Larian Vault,... Thank you in advance.

I am in blood
Stepp'd in so far, that, should I wade no more,
Returning were as tedious as go o'er.

Done, hope it's something you can fix.
Until then I'll hold off, wouldn't want to One-shot Damian by accident ;-)

Odd. Can you close the game and then remove this file:

C:\Users\[WindowsUser]\AppData\Local\Divinity 2\Profile\settings.dv2

or in XP this one:

C:\Documents And Settings\[WindowsUser]\Local Settings\Application Data\Divinity 2\Profile\settings.dv2

And then see if you can change the difficulty setting?

Sorted by another employee of your company ;-)

Played through it all again, I must say: A very nice polishing if ever I saw one.
I did still own pretty much everything that I came across, even on hard. Rewards for the completionist I guess?

Thumbs up.

PS: That same advice fixed it indeed, so thanks anyway ;-)
