At what point in DKS does the game transition from ED to FoV, precisely? I know that ED leads up to the ending where you go through the Hall of Echoes and get trapped with the Divine, but I assume that's not what leads up to FoV. So, if it isn't, there where does the transition occur?

The transition happens right after the final cutscene of ED. You'll recognize the new content when you see Aleroth and hear Zandalor's voice.

It is very easy to tell when the first part of the game TERMINATES.

I just got through that part a couple of hours ago so I think I know what you mean. I was half expecting a voice over by Linda Hamilton for a second there.

While I've played ED, I don't have DKS due to wanting it on the 360, and no USA (or NA) release yet. I was just curious whether it actually continued from the end, or if it stopped before (due to not saving after the ending or anything).

The transition is seamless. You will understand my comment after you have played it for your self.
