I beat Divinity 2 ED a while back without expansion, and now I'm replaying DKS.

I haven't got close to the end of ED yet in DKS in my replay, but I'd like to know whether the game continues automatically with whatever character I produce in ED when starting Flames of Vengeance?

Suppose I have 36 level char (just suppose, no idea if I'll succeed). Will Flames of Vengeance continue with that character when I reach end of ED storyline? Or should I just start a game at the same time from the main menu in Flames of Vengeance, because Flames of Vengeance will have me reconstruct my character at level 35 regardless of whether new game or continuation of ED?

The game will keep going with your old character and stuff. A new character sets you at level 35 with 64 skills, 45,000 gold, and wipes out your inventory except for the crystal skull and dragon stone.
