My main question is about how the charm system works - right now I am at level 6, even after doing all the side quests available to me, at lovis's tower trying to get in without having my ass handed to me on a platter by those skeleton minions that come in bunches (they don't un-bunch so it's a pain - you target one and the whole damn clan comes after you. I can (usually) handle the ones who come in two or three. Anyway, back to my question, I have one minor and one lesser charm, can't remember where I got them, and a couple of items of armor and jewelry with slots. Are these things really hard to find at first and then get easier and bigger? I seem to recall in the earlier divinities you could buy them from merchants, rarely and small at first and then getting more common and bigger as you went up in level. Is this still the case or do you have to find them in chests and the like? I'm wondering if I should go ahead and use the smaller charms right away for my armor and jewelery in hopes that better charms will come along at a reasonable ratio of better charms to better equipment, or if they are rare enough that I should hoard them. (I really want to use them, I'm a charm nut.)

Sometime after the dragon knight-turning incident, I came across a cut scene with some soldiers (I'm sure it said one was Merrill) and a huge ass troll having a bit of a disagreement. The troll killed the soldiers and came after me, his appellation at the top screen was Seeker of something something. So I backtracked as quick as I could and shot a magic missile at it. And it died instantly. What the???
What was this all about?

When people talk about charms and enchants are these different things?

Is buying property from the real estate guy related to getting the battle tower? And how should I next go about doing this?

I am playing as a mage but with enough warrior skills to back me up if needed - as well as carrying a lovely gigantic flamberge which adds a point to strength if I get caught in close up melee.

Could anyone give me a link to Raven's mage guide? Haven't been able to find it. (search function leaves a bit to be desired)

Never mind about the mage guide, found it!

Last of all, not a question but everytime I go in and out of the village I find it more and more hilarious that the dead guy is still lying there, nobody has picked him up and he's not decomposing. Hee hee.

Oh,and what does this mean when I try to insert a charm -I'm assuming you just drag it onto your equipped item - "you do not meet the requirements to equip this item". I found the black goblins just as nasty but a little easier to pick off if you strategize carefully. I'm trying to find the entrance (any of them) to the derelict mines so I can level up a bit.

Never mind, I found out you have to right click rather than drag..

Sorry, third (fourth) edit - I found the derelict tunnel entrance after I managed to kill off all those black goblin assholes. And at least I'm level 7 now, heh heh. BTW I love the music in this tunnel and the secret passage, I could listen to it for hours (might take me that long to get through here, never know).

Not sure where to start Op..is all over the place think
In the game you will come across Charms, and Enchantments.

Charms are your typical add "x" to w/e, can be added to weapons/armors at any point of the game and are not removable once placed.
Enchantments are learned off of scrolls and similar to application as early Alchemy. Enchantments however can be changed out.
Also note that as you find alchemy/enchant scrolls they are "learned" once you visit your local Alchemist/Enchanter

Once you have your Battle Tower, this all gets a lot easier. No more traveling all over to get supplies up.
(plus you have runners for ingredients)

Don't also forget to disenchant items you don't need BEFORE you sell them, you learn to enchantment that way as well. Also it does not lower the sell price.

...about the Rentals guy on the bridges..No connection to the Battle Tower. I actually turned him down 4-5 times. Donno, maybe some items or something to get, but I never bothered. meh

good hunting rpg008

The real estate guy is sham. He's just after your money.
