Quick update: We've finished testing the content of the patches and are now in the process of building the installers, which is the last phase. We then need to test the installers and if that works out immediately, we should be able to release the patches tomorrow, latest on thursday. That's great news! Thanks.

If you've just finished Farglow, if I understand correctly, I would start over again as soon as the patch arrives, just to make sure.

So will the options let me set my framerate limit or just turn the limiter on/off?
I have found 45 to be the sweat spot as 30 is too jerky and hurts your eyes where as the engine doesnt seem to perform well enough to give a constant 60 fps. 45 seems to be the happy medium.

But for the players who don't want to start over again (like me), the only way to avoid the bug is sending the saved games to you guys and get fixed? Wow, could that be A LOT of work for you? As I mentioned before, is it possible to release a tool or something so we can fix the saved game at our side?

Unfortunatelly that is not an option as it usually involves manually replacing the missing NPCs. In any case the patch will prevent your savegames from getting any corrupterer (it's a word!). Any damage already done can be fixed by support once you encounter it.

That's the first time I hear someone from support is going to fix savegames. There could be many :P Anyway, the patch is out.

Actually Larian aren't the first ones. It's not unusual to indie developers give this kind of support. A couple weeks I saw it happen with Evochron Mercenary. That's one of the reasons why I'm buying more indie games than AAA. The other reason is obvious, indie companies are the only ones who really cares for the PC players. Larian, for me, it's more a indie type company than a AAA. Thanks for the patch.

There seem to be some players having compatbility issues with the patch which we didn't observe on our systems - we're taking it offline until we figure out what's going on.

@RichRuzz: The problem has to do with the game mis-detecting resolutions on some graphic cards. It's perfectly possible that you don't have this problem and the game runs fine with the patch. We tested it quite some systems and never saw the problem reported, so we preferred to take the patch offline until we figured out what is going on.

Ah okay, I will report back if I get anything weird I have a GTX 480. I just bought the game today and was excited to start playing, if new hotfixes or patches come out will my game-save be compatible?

Yes - you shouldn't worry about that. The problem that we spotted has to do with not being able to change resolutions/rendering of the game not working.
