I'm on windows 7, running on nvidia 480 and 2gb of ram. And the game wont let me use the highest texture because i have 2 gb of ram.

I saw what the mods said in the other topics, they said the game would crash, if texture is set to high.

Can't we get to decide for ourself? Don't lock that option up, god dammit. Please make a hotfix that will allow the users with less than 3gb ram to set to high texture...

I agree with you, and I was searching (and found) an answer to the same problem. However, I think its foolish for you to make another post when your just saying the same exact thing. Get some more RAM, its cheap.

I, on the other hand, am having the same problem with 4GBs of RAM (6GB actual) with a GTX 570, so MY problem is odd, and I will be making a post about it.

Go buy some more RAM, and try to run it in Win XP mode if you have Win 7.
