I can kill this guy -- have about 10 times -- including the time as a human with arrows.

So 1, stop forcing me to turn into a dragon?

Ok, ya wanna do that, fine --

But this is a definite bug -- get near the top exit (as dragon) and start flying backwards... press on the backwards key... sssssss), suddenly, you are a human, and you find yourself looking at the
cliff face and you've just stepped BACKWARDS off the cliff back into the pit!!!!

Uh how did I get turned around? Now that I'm in the pit again, I find Zagon, (Zagos?) I shoot him full of arrows. He dies and there's a cave-in cutting off my original entrance. How can I get out?
I can't fly out -- because your STUPID ('I need a baseball-field-to-turn-into-a-dragon) algorithm won't let me turn into a dragon -- when I JUST DID before (when the game forced me to). THAT's NOT FAIR -- If the game can turn me into a dragon, then you need to tighten up those space requirement quite a bit. I don't need a baseball field of space which is about the space you force us to have when we want to turn -- (but it's about a a 10x10 room when you want us to turn)....
Stop the nonsense -- tighten up those space requirements -- there's no reason why a dragon can't start out in a cramped space if it's open overhead -- they fly UP...there's a huge cave above me -- and I can't change???

Anyway -- killed him off at least 10 times, but then I get hit by 4-5 fireballs so fast, it literally won't let me get in ANY option. I had myself so I was 1 flutter from the entrance -- just had to press 's' once, and I'd be back in the exit in the top -- was taking pot shots at Zagon, and got him, then all the other monsters shoot -- multiple bangs and it won't accept any keypresses -- not 1 not 'f' not a heal nothing. just straight to the dead page.

I conclude that my game's been corrupted by the Securom -- since it also doesn't let me sneak up on opponents -- but I have a download. I want a fix & patch!

I'd like to play this through. But I can't stand these game bugs and this level of difficulty
If I wanted this, I'd play on "hard"...but I'm playing on easy because I don't want this headache --
do you get it? This isn't fun for me.

I *love* the visuals and graphics...but this is the worst gameplay I've ever had for something that's supposed to be on 'easy' level.

Also -- Another thing that is VERY unfair -- it's not fair for the monsters to be so tough -- and then for me to get only 200 points for them. That's ridiculous. I don't care if I'm a higher level. They should be worth a constant amount -- since they are the same difficult they were at the start -- they haven't gotten 10 times weaker -- but I am getting 10 times less experience for them. Again -- from a game play perspective -- that just isn't fair.

This is suppose to be fun -- and it's not.

*Unhappy & wanting a patch*

There is one spot on that ledge if you step off you won't turn into a dragon. Anywhere else, you do. It's just a game geography bug, you aren't ever supposed to be in human form in there. It's possible to kill Zagan, fly up there and turn human to heal, then jump back down to finish the towers and other nasties, flying back up to heal when it gets overwhelming ... that's how I did it. Like any other dragon-form battle, the key is to keep moving and keep turning. Most aerial weapons will miss you if you do that. Of course, there can get to be a LOT in there, so I did single-pass swoops and healed in between each one till they were all dead. Tedious, and probably not what they intended, but certainly doable. I'm not even sure you have to do that much. You may be able to just kill Zagan and fly out, leaving them all behind. I just didn't like leaving that mess down there smile.

The problem was that once I killed Zagon, I couldn't fly out, as I was in human form -- once you are in human form down there, you are stuck and can't get out. you can kill zagon, but you can't get out.

That needs to be fixed -- in fact that needs to be fixed multiple places ---
there is just WAY to much limitation on changing into dragon form, the biggest being that you have alot of flat space around you, since when you change, you are automatically placed 10 feet above the ground -- which means you should be able to change into dragon form anytime the area OVER you is clear.

Another thing I'd **like** to see (not critical), but would be the ability for me to LAND in dragon form, and walk around....

Also, come on -- just like with 'Ty' fighters (Star wars) or any areal combat scenes you see fighters aiming and making it through impossibly tight spaces -- but in this game? It requires 10 feet on all sides, like a dragon is some delicate 'flower' that couldn't handle getting a scrape from anything -- dragon hides are tough, and could easily handle scraping against things -- but many places where there is plenty of room if my wings are tight against me, like in a dive, the game won't let me dart through (remember the test back in Maxos's castle -- before we fly we leap -- that's like "darting", zooming through a small section with wings folded, then expand on the other side).

There are far too many restrictions on the dragon form to make it fun -- it really is -- like someone else in these forums said, just a lumbering way to transport yourself from A-to-B -- nothing like really being a dragon at all...

I really wish (and this may require a complete 2nd edition that many never come, but would be wonderful), that they would put some major effort into the 3D flying -- controls like allowing me to barrel role, or loop -- you see dragons do that in many portrayals, but this dragon is a bit like a well -- like the dirigibles. Also wish they'd allow for joystick, gamepad and 3D-controller movement on the PC -- even the gamepad would have been a bonus -- why DISABLE gamepad play on the PC -- especially since Microsoft sells them for the PC?

But for a 3D controller -- check out 3Dconnexion -- full 3D control in all 6 directions -- they have full API's available for hooking up to the game.

Another option -- expose a pluggable interface so users can write their own driver for a device. The best thing that developers can do to make any piece of software fit to a user -- is to make it extensible so users can customize it to their liking -- you'll have much happier users -- and the more freedom given, the more happy users you will get and the bigger the user base.

The oblivian user base has been active LONG after the game came out -- that's a huge testament to the game designers. It's really very sad that they never came out with a redo of that game...I know manypeople would buy it....

(btw -- alot of the game-engine/physics in divinity feel much like the oblivian interface...is there / was there any shared code?)....
