they told me last week the upcoming patch was 'in testing' (sweet!)...

my poor character is awaiting it's release on the cliffs of the Fjords...

can we get an ETA for the patch... please and thank you

It's available now - please be aware that if you got the game through Steam, you'll have to wait until they distribute it. That might take a couple of days unfortunately.

Quick question: which is the best solution for those of us with a mixed DVD/Digital installation, i.e. Ego Draconis installed from the DVD and FoV from a digital download? I'm assuming "digital" since that was the source of any updates, but assumptions can be tricky things...

The FOV patches aren't there yet - the patch which is online now is only for DKS. We hope to have the FOV patches online tomorow.

Oh, okay - that makes more sense! I'll have to be more patient after all, then... still, I'm sure I can manage another day.

Is there any way you could post when the steam distribution kicks in?

They have a knack for not posting patchnotes for less than "killer" titles.

I do not wish to purchase the game until after the patch so I do not need to worry abotu having the game but not being able to play due to save game corruptions etc.

Yes of course - we're in the process of submitting it so it might be a few days, but we'll try to get it out there as fast as possible.

As you might have noticed, we're having graphic card compatbility issues with the patch on some systems so we removed it again - we're on it and the moment we found out why the issues reported are there, we'll fix them and make the patch available again. I know it's quite disappointing, also for us as a lot of work went into it, but the patch is supposed to take care of 95% of the support calls we've been getting and we definitely don't want to introduce new issues.

Thanks for keeping us informed. I heard a long time ago that what irritates most people isn't delays but lack of communication, and I think we can't fault you there.

i did not see your forum post 'removed patch' till after patching my game...

am experiencing no in-game graphical issues.

the only 'problem' i noticed was no resolution options in the graphic menu.

this does not affect me as pre-patch the resolution options did not work so i set my resolution manually in the file graphicoptions.xml.

Kali's Fortress is working beautifully! my epic saga to continue this weekend!

on a slightly more serious note:
it was caught before being released on steam...
right now only a small few were affected...
had this 'bug' gone out to all Steam users it would have been publicly devastating... ouch!
