Larian Studios Forums Divinity II The Dragon Knight Saga / Flames of Vengeance (English) Technical problems Problem with 12/7/10 Steam Patch

I bought the game just yesterday or day before yesterday (12/5 or 12/6) and had no black screen issue and played nearly all day. Encountered apsolutly no noticable bugs even.

After the recent patch that downloaded from Steam on 12/7/2010, I load my game with a black screen. Only the compass, and experince bar show. In other words, just the HUD. I can move and hear and control the game. I just have a black screen making nothing visible.

The update said it was suppose to fix this. Instead it caused it. Please help.

I use NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 graphics card.

In the graphics options, uncheck 'User Interface In Desktop-Resolution', see if that helps.

If during the game you have a very short resolution list: the game only lists resolutions that match your current refresh rate. For example, if you have a resolution at 30Hz (for a TV p.ex.), it will only display resolutions that can be displayed with that refresh rate. You can change the refresh rate, and then you should see other available resolutions.

I Unchecked the 'User Interface in Desktop-Resolution' and that has worked. This also did not change my Resolution list and also expirmented with increasing FPS from 30 to 75 and still works perfectly.
