If you go to your Inventory in the game and go to the page where you can put armor and weapons in empty slots like leggings, gauntlets, brancelet, rings, helmet, cuirass, ... and also maximum 2 melee weapons (or 1 melee weapon and 1 shield!) and 1 ranged (bow) weapon too.
1) So, first put at least (1 or 2 melee weapons +)
a bow into the slot(s)
2) second: close your inventory and "pause" the game. Now you have access to the Quick slots and put your (for example) Bow to one of the quick slots.
3) press the correspondenting quick slot Button to draw your Bow (or use a potion, ...)
Attention:
IF you have only bows that required a higher rang of Level than your current hero has, you simply CAN'T equip it (and of course can't use it too!)

PS :normally, if you've trained in the Goblin Arena in Farglow a melee OR ranged weapon automatically go to one of your quick slots so you can simply use that weapon by pressing the correspondenting button.
